JUNE 29th 2012 Every year, Olympic Day is celebrated by thousands of people, in more than
160 countries. Commemorating the birth of the modern Olympic Games, Olympic Day
is not only a celebration, but an international effort to promote fitness and
well-being in addition to Olympic ideals of Fair Play, Perseverance, Respect
and Sportsmanship.
· Olympic Torch Run – Starting from the steps of City Hall in Johnson City at 9am to ETSU’s Memorial Center · Olympic Games – Memorial Center (Mini dome) o Opening Ceremonies at 10am; Olympic Games 10:30am-12:30pm o Games Include: hitting and pitching station, sprinting, basketball, jumping, soccer, weightlifting, volleyball and much more! o
