Despite, the rain, it was a great day in NE TN. I hope it's a great day where you are too!

The Governor was kind enough to come to Bristol on Monday May 14th to sign the two locally sponsored Synthetic Drug Laws before the entire student body at Tennessee High School. Our Attorney and Assistant Generals (who were instrumental in the wording of these bills), Lt. Governor Ramsey, Reps. Lundberg and Shipley, as well as representatives from Johnson County, Knox County and Washington County were all present on stage. In the audience were Rep. Phil Roe and our local City Council and School Board representatives. It was a great morning, and a wonderful moment for our students, many who will be graduating this weekend. BTW, if anyone didn't know, the most powerful of the laws passed this session are enforceable as of tomorrow...two have been enforceable since Friday, and one more will be enforceable on June 1.
