MAP This meeting will be a gathering of the key agencies and other interested agencies in examining the issue of prescription drug disposal in Washington County and to plan a take back event. A poison is any product or substance that can harm someone if it is used in the wrong way, by the wrong person, or in the wrong amount. Examples of possible poisons include some household products, chemicals at work or in the environment, drugs (prescription, over-the-counter, herbal, illegal or animal medicines), snake bites, spider bites, and scorpion stings.
During this week we will announce our efforts to plan a disposal event and kick off an awareness campain to make the community aware of the dangers of prespcription drugs. We are planning to pull together community leaders to examine efforts to address the prescription drug issue in our community.
March 10-11, 2009 TCCY Children's Advocacy Days War Memorial Auditorium, Nashville, TN
We encourage you to join our regional partner NE TN Council on Children and Youth (NETCCY) in Nashville for this annual event. TCCY is gathering its neighbors from across the state, members of the nine regional councils on children and youth and other child advo-cates, to join us to help prepare the soil in our community garden – the War Memorial Auditorium. We are gathering not to dig and plant literally, but to do so figuratively We will work to prepare the soil so all our children have the opportunity to grow to their fullest potential. Children’s Advocacy Days 2009 will provide a forum for those working with and on behalf of children and families across the state in order to gain new information and facilitate their efforts to improve the lives of children and families in their communities Click here for REGISTRATION INFORMATION.
